About iRest yoga nidra meditation
Based on the ancient teachings of meditation, iRest is an evidence-based transformative practice of deep relaxation and meditative enquiry that:
- Releases negative emotions and thought patterns
- Calms the nervous system
- Develops the capacity to meet and deal with all circumstances that can arise in life
Generally practiced lying down, participants are guided through a 30 minute meditative experience. No previous meditation experience is required.
Its practice is integrative as it heals the various unresolved issues and traumas that are present in the body and mind, and restorative as it enables one to recognize their innate peace of mind that is always present admit all changing circumstances of life.
iRest provides people with tools to relax deeply, release stress, increase resiliency, improve interpersonal relationships and provide mastery and control in life. Thereby increasing mental clarity, overall health and wellbeing, productivity and joy.
